Social Media Addiction – No one cares where you are or what you are doing

Matthew Liptak | February 1, 2010

Contrary to popular belief of social media status updates, no one really cares where you are at a given moment or what you are doing. In my ongoing bantering of addiction to social media and obsession of certain social networking websites, this one topic must be examined more closely.

Is society becoming addicted to social networking?

Matthew Liptak | December 30, 2009

I read an article that defined the psychology of tweeting and Facebooking and buidling networks on social media websites. It compared these actions to that of compulsive shoppers, buying something just to satisfy that craving or rush of getting something new, even if they didn’t need it. I am on my social networks 5-6 times a day and I see the same incidents of total exposure.

Matthew Liptak | August 18, 2009

You will hear me use that term time and time again because I fully believe that what you will see in the future will change the way we do business and meet new people. Most would say that nothing goes farther than a face to face conversation and the pressing of palms to truly make an acquaintance. I disagree.
