I see it everyday, the person standing by the traffic light intersection holding the sign with the words “VETERAN” written across it. I dig in my pocket to come up with any cash I can to hand over. It is not that I don’t think that what is written is not true on the sign but I can’t think that. I cringe at the sight of more and more signs along roads begging to be helped. What is it about the homeless veteran and why can’t we do anything about it?
